"As TENNY Consulting, we have some comments regarding the scheduling conflict  that STPR/ARA has created.

To be clear, Errol Northwoods Rally (ENR) is happening on July 11-12 2025. We are not moving it.

The Errol Northwoods Rally (ENR), is the successor to the New England Forest Rally and the Maine Forest Rally.

Any rally we organize will be competitor and grassroots focused. We announced the official transfer of the rally on August 21, 2024, and it’s return to the traditional rally weekend in July of 2025 in April 2024.

We renamed it the Errol Northwoods Rally (ENR). The Northwoods is a tribute to the legendary Ted Goddard who was a rally master, taskmaster, friend and mentor to hundreds of rallyists.

Ted’s spirit was the basis of the original Kentucky gravel rally (MGR). It was founded to build competitor focused events that share success with the betterment of the host community.

Therefore It is both incomprehensible and disheartening that the organizers of STPR and their sanctioning body scheduled their rally the same weekend of ENR.

After a year of repose to reimagine the event as something to grow rally, while healing from the tragic events of 2023, we thought it was correct to rally on the weekend that John Buffum and Carl Merrill made famous.

Errol Northwoods Rally is meant to bring the pioneering spirit of Ted, John, and Carl forward to the current generation.

Please, appreciate and show care for the competitor and volunteer pool when any event is scheduled. Rally, as a whole, will survive and prosper when grassroots rallyists are recognized first and foremost, as they make up the majority of entries. "
